Nepotism At Its Finest

Bush announcing his nomination of Harriet Miers. Just look at his face. Enough said.
A headline from the New York Times which basically says it all: Longtime Confidante of Bush Has Never Been a Judge.
Is Bush crazy? No, seriously, has he gone mental?
Let's look at his record thus far...he's:
* Appointed a U.S. representative to the U.N. who doesn't believe the U.N should exist
* Appointed someone to head the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) who is a known corporate polluter
* Appointed a head to the Dept. of Education who doesn't believe in Darwinism
* Appointed a head to the Dept. of Health who believes PMS can be cured through reading the Bible and prayer
* Appointed someone to head PBS who wants to cut public funding of arts and educational programming
* Appointed someone to head FEMA who doesn't believe its role is to provide aid in the case of emergencies
and now...drumroll: *Nominated a lawyer to the SUPREME freakin' COURT who has NEVER been a judge in her entire life!!
Harriet Miers, bearing a striking resemblance to the Emperor from the new Star Wars.
Why would he pick someone with no judicial experience for a position (which wields the power to shape the entire country) that she will hold until the day she dies, or chooses to retire? Because they're friends. Like the rest of the entire federal adminstration.
This could start a whole new trend. Soon we'll have doctors who haven't actually attended medical school, professors who haven't actually been to college, fashion designers who have never made clothes, dancers who don't know how to dance, priests who are actually athiests, rabbis who are actually catholic, writers who are actually illiterate and presidents who have no idea what they're doing!
Oh, wait. We already have one of those.
