Chinese New Year Treasure Hunt

WHAT: An annual event. A scavenger hunt on crack. Very much like The Amazing Race except only in San Francisco.

WHERE: Every nook and cranny of North Beach, Telegraph Hill, The Embarcadero, The Financial District and parts of Russian Hill in San Francisco, i.e. the heart (arguably) of the city, with TONS and TONS of hills! Basically, a trek over and under all those picturesque little views you see in the movies.

WHEN: Saturday February 11th, during the Chinese New Year Parade (celebrating the Year of the Dog). It should be noted that the parade is one of the biggest in California and it's absolutely insane.

WHO: Me, my cousin Nishant, Blythe, Sonya, Pete and Josh, otherwise known as The Ladies and The Tramps (note our dog theme).

WHY: Please see Intention #6 for 2006

Today (Feb 14th) is my anniversary; it was seven years ago to this date that I moved here from the east coast. This event was one of the best, most fun moments I've ever had in San Francisco. Seriously. If you ever have the chance to do this hunt: do it. I have a whole new appreciation for the city -- I had no idea just how beautiful and amazing it could be.
