Honeymoon
Today is the Roommate for Life and my one year anniversary. It's very exciting. And the best part, when thinking back on the year since we've been married, is that we never have to go through planning another wedding(s) again! Yay!
To celebrate we are off for a week to sunny Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I'm am going to try and ween myself off of the internet for a week and concentrate on other less technology-based endeavors.
Which means I won't be posting or reading blogs until May 1st (not that I've been very good at that lately anyways).
I'll miss everyone but when I'm lying on the beach sipping something cool, I'll think of you'all!

At Last

Today we had a break from the unrelenting rains that have been ravaging our San Franciscan psyches. It feels likes it's been raining non-stop since December, which is rare since it only really rains in Dec./Jan. and then pretty much stops for the rest of the year. But 2006 has been brutal. Can anyone say "global warming"?
Well, today we were given a much needed break from the sloshy weather. Yay!
It was *amazing* outside!! T-shirt and sunglasses weather.
It struck me just how much the weather can affect your moods. Everyone here was starting to get pretty damn depressed for a while there. But now -- joy!

Do You Have the Time?

At my writers' workshop tonight, someone said that she believed the universal gesture of pointing to your wrist in order to ask what time it is will be lost on younger generations as they all check their cell phones to find the time rather than wear watches. Two people agreed, three of us (including myself) disagreed.
I think people who wear watches or want to wear watches will continue doing so while non-watch people will use their cell phones. I think a lot more people do the former than the latter.
Which do you do?
Do you check your watch for the time or your cell phone?
